My name is Gordon Gam. I am a candidate for the upcoming local government election for the Weddin Shire.
If I get elected I would like to see anther doctor to the town and I would listen to what the community want.
I am also in favour of promoting tourism to the shire.
I was born in Grenfell and I have seen many changes in my time growing up in Grenfell.
During my childhood I played football for Grenfell rugby league, swam with the Grenfell swimming club, and was in scouts during the first Grenfell Scouts.

I have been educated in schools in Grenfell and around the region, including Grenfell Public School before I went to Belhaven School in Young and finished my education at Young High School were I completed my year 10 certificate.
When I left school I went to TAFE in Cowra where I did a hospitality course before going to pick asparagus at Cowra.
In 1995 I joined the bush fire brigade here in Grenfell before it was changed to the Rural Fire Service, of which I am still a member.
While a member of the Weddin HQ Brigade I received a Commissioner's Certificate of Commendation on May 4, 2014.
I have interests in camping and photography.
