Weddin celebrates Wattle Day

Members of the Weddin community gathered among the wattles on Friday, August 23 with 30 attendees.

Participants were able to learn more about the wonders of wattles and the impact the plant has on our landscape.

Next up for Weddin Landcare will be the their Improving On Farm Biodiversity Workshop hosted with the NSW Biodiversity Conservation Trust and Josh Frappell.

Josh Frappell is an ecosystem regeneration specialist from The Regenerative, which is based in Mudgee.

He will lead participants in discussions around taking an holistic approach to soil health, biodiversity, and sustainable practices to increase your land's productivity.

The day will include a classroom-style session with Josh in the woolshed, before heading outside to see some regeneration projects and explore farm dam biodiversity.

This workshop will take place from 9:30 am to 2:30pm on Tuesday, September 10 at Myall Park, Caragabal.

To RSVP: contact Claire at weddinlandcare1@outlook.com or 0421 716 170

Morning tea and lunch are provided.

This workshop has been funded through the Biodiversity Conservation Trust.
